How we got started
A kid who was half Mr. Bender’s size bullied him as a student at Saint David’s Elementary School. After the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on December 14, 2012, Bender was additionally inspired and driven to improve school safety and eliminate school tragedies and bullying worldwide. On February 7, 2013 he officially launched Anonymous Alerts with the Dobbs Ferry school district in New York.
Anonymous Alerts® empowers students to help themselves and others by reporting sensitive student issues and safety concerns quickly while establishing anonymous 2-way communications® with school officials. Using the mobile app, students can attach a photo, social media screenshot or video with their text description.
Throughout the nation, thousands of educational institutions, organizations, healthcare, and public safety agencies use the patented and award-winning Anonymous Alerts® incident reporting app and Smart Button® instant panic button app to protect millions of students, faculty, and employees.
