How we got started

A kid who was half Mr. Bender’s size bullied him as a student at Saint David’s Elementary School. After the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre on December 14, 2012, Bender was additionally inspired and driven to improve school safety and eliminate school tragedies and bullying worldwide. On February 7, 2013 he officially launched Anonymous Alerts with the Dobbs Ferry school district in New York.

Anonymous Alerts® empowers students to help themselves and others by reporting sensitive student issues quickly while establishing anonymous 2-way communications™ with school officials. Using the mobile app, students can attach a photo, social media screenshot or video with their text description.

Anonymous Alerts® is in use by more than 5,000 schools in the United States. The Anonymous Alerts® apps and system are Patented (U.S. Patent No. 9,071,579) with additional patents pending.
